Tony and Debi of the ‘Red Hot Salsa Dance Company’ came to India in January 2000 to introduce Salsa and the Latin rhythms to Goa. They have since been teaching classes, performing and DJing at all the best venues.

Tony (‘Salsa-Tony’), from the Caribbean, trained at the “Urdang Academy for Performing Arts” in Covent Garden London, where he studied Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap and Modern Dance.

He has worked on the London stage as well as appearing on film and on TV. He was the first Salsa Dance Teacher to gain accreditation from the United Kingdom Dance Alliance (UKA). Tony has worked with famous names in the dance world and had his own successful Dance Company in the UK running classes and clubs in and around London.

Debi, from the UK, an experienced classroom teacher, has been dancing with ‘Salsa-Tony’ since 1998. She accompanied Tony to many of his venues in the UK, demonstrating Salsa and helping to teach.

As a child, Debi attended Ballet Classes, learnt some Spanish Flamenco in Spain, before becoming hooked on Salsa and the Latin rhythms.

Debi performed in Salsa shows in London before moving to Goa and setting up the Red Hot Salsa Dance Company with ‘Salsa-Tony’.

As well as performing all over Goa, The Red Hot Salsa Dance Company has danced in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mangalore and Kolkata.
